I had so much fun in the studio with this little girl … she is such a little model
I cannot believe that a year ago I was taking newborn photos of her and now she is ONE!! Happy Birthday little lady bug
Enjoy these sneak peak!
It’s time for the CAKE SMASH … and she knew exactly what to do! She was so cute digging into the cake … first her hands, then toes, and finally her whole leg .. it was so funny to watch.
How To: paper banner
I love when photographer’s use a colorful banner in their images. So naturally, I wanted to add one to my prop collection. The cloth banners are beautiful, but since I cannot sew .. at all! … I decided to make a no sew version. I ran out to the local Hobby Lobby and picked up some items: scrapbook paper, hole puncher and some string. You will also need scissors.
Next, cut the flags. I could cut about 5 triangles using one 12 x 12 inch scrapbook paper page. I tried several different sizes, but decided 5.5 inches by 6 inches worked the best for me.
Now you’re ready to hole punch each flag. I used four holes and I tried to evenly space them apart.
Next, string each flag to make the banner. I started off using one string, but it did not seem as sturdy, so I ran two strings through each hole. You could also use ribbon or yarn. Make sure to leave some excess string on each end to hang it.
You’re all done!!! It’s time to hang the banner! This would also look super cute in a little girls room. You could also add some cutout letters to make it a birthday banner! Enjoy!
